West Area Clubs proudly present The Scottish Night Orienteering Championships on Saturday Night the 13th February 2010 at Faskally Woods, Pitlochry. The base for this event is Pitlochry Scout Hall.

Parking for competitors when visiting the Scout Hall to either use the toilet facilities before your run, or to download after the event – is in the Public Car Park on Atholl Road approximately 400m NW of the Scout Hall.

There will be NO TOILETS at the Start. Loose Control Descriptions printed on waterproof paper shall only be available in the start lanes. Start is 300m from Parking ; Finish 500m from Parking. Competitors need to follow the taped route from the Finish back through the Start as a matter of safety.

NO WHISTLE; NO GO ! Competitors take part at their own risk & are responsible for their own safety at all times. Although a sheltered venue, competitors must dress accordingly for the time of year & may be requested to carry a cagoule depending on the prevailing weather conditions.

Thanks to the support from the owners of The Faskally Boathouse, we have received permission to park vehicles, for the competition, in the Car Park at the end of Clunie Bridge Road which is located just under the A9 at the very southern edge of the map. Car keys may be left at the Information Point adjacent to the Car Park.

Map Scale 1:7500. Contour Interval 5m. Start Times from 18.30 > 19.30 with course closure time of 21.00 hrs. Final Course Lengths are now confirmed.
