Classic Lakeland terrain – a big steep slope which is highly intricate and covered with mature decidous trees, mature beech and oak woodland on easier going, and very intricate with a wealth of contour detail on the ‘flatter’ bit. Mixed together with some very fast open running, and you have another of the best areas in England. This event is combined with a Short race on the Saturday (Haverthwaite) – make a w/e of it and come for some of the best orienteering of the year!
